Experienced anglers will appreciate both fishing from a boat and from shore at these levels but beginners will typically find better success wade fishing where they can control the pace of the experience a little more and thoroughly work pockets along the edges. Golden stoneflies are beginning to show themselves but yellow sallies and pale morning duns are the prevalant hatches at the moment. We are seeing good attractor dry fly fishing down here and good, shallow dry-dropper fishing. Flows are still swift but are at a normal level for this time of year, pushing fish out to the softer water along the edges where they are opportunistic and competitive in the feeding habits.
